Story
Hi there!
We’re stepping up for something truly special—the Petstock Walk for FECRI, part of the Ballarat Cycle Classic weekend! This isn’t just another walk; it's a paws-itively impactful event where every dollar raised goes to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. By sponsoring us, you're directly supporting groundbreaking cancer research right here in Ballarat, at Australia’s only regional cancer research centre.
Whether you're cheering for us, walking yourself around Lake Wendouree or somewhere in the world virtually, or even riding as part of the Cycle Classic, know that every contribution is helping us get one step closer to finding better treatments and, one day, a cure. Together, let’s make a difference that truly counts! Thank you so much for your support!
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute
The Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute is based in Ballarat and is Australia’s only regionally based cancer research centre. The research is focused on the role of the immune system, how it relates and can be used to treat cancer. It is hoped that by identifying these proteins on the surface of cancer cells, druggable targets can be developed to allow the immune system to attack the cancer, without chemotherapy and radiation. The research aims to help patients with a broad range of cancers – from Leukaemia, Bowel, Ovarian, Breast, Brain and Pancreato-Biliary cancers, as well as haematological cancers. Thank you for your support.
